Our Commitment to fighting parkinson's

Welcome to Fit All Around Fitness Program

At Fit All Around we are dedicated to fighting the effects of Parkinson's disease.  A personalized fitness and wellness program offered by a professional who is both a certified personal trainer and licensed massage therapist—provides a unique, holistic approach to managing the condition. Our programs combine resistance training to build strength and support joint stability, assisted stretching to improve flexibility and reduce muscle rigidity, and non-contact boxing to enhance coordination, balance, and cognitive function. Each session is tailored to the individual's abilities and goals, ensuring safety and effectiveness. Therapeutic massage is integrated to relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and promote relaxation. By blending these modalities, our programs support physical health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life, empowering participants to stay active, engaged, and confident in their daily lives.

Exercise

The Benefits of Exercise

Exercise and resistance training offer significant benefits for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Regular physical activity helps improve mobility, balance, posture, and coordination—key areas affected by the condition. Resistance training, in particular, strengthens muscles, supports joint stability, and can slow the progression of motor symptoms. It may also reduce the risk of falls by enhancing core strength and control. Beyond the physical advantages, exercise has been shown to boost mood, reduce anxiety and depression, and improve overall quality of life. When tailored to individual abilities, a consistent exercise routine can help people with Parkinson’s maintain independence and a greater sense of well-being.

massage and bodywork

The Benefits of Massage and Bodywork

Massage therapy offers several potential benefits for people living with Parkinson’s disease. One of the most significant advantages is relief from muscle stiffness and rigidity, common symptoms that can make movement difficult and uncomfortable. Massage can help improve circulation, which may enhance muscle and joint function. It also promotes relaxation and reduces stress, anxiety, and depression—emotional challenges that often accompany chronic illness. Some individuals with Parkinson’s report better sleep and an increased sense of well-being after regular massage sessions. Massage can be a valuable part of a holistic approach to managing Parkinson’s symptoms.

boxing

The Benefits of Boxing

Boxing has emerged as a highly beneficial exercise for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Non-contact boxing programs, specifically designed for individuals with neurological conditions, help improve balance, coordination, agility, and overall motor control—areas often affected by Parkinson’s. The structured, repetitive movements involved in boxing can enhance muscle strength and cardiovascular health while also challenging the brain to improve cognitive function. In addition to physical benefits, boxing fosters confidence, discipline, and social interaction, which can combat feelings of isolation and depression. For many with Parkinson’s, boxing provides a fun, empowering way to stay active and improve quality of life.
